Super Mario Galaxy Unlockable: Luigi
Here's how to get Luigi. First, get all 120 Stars in the game. Then, return to Rosalina (on the Comet Observatory) and request to fight Bowser one last time. Defeat him and let the credits roll. After the credits are complete, a message will appear telling you Luigi is a playable character.
Super Mario Galaxy Unlockable: 121st Star!
There are 121 Stars in the game. To get the 121st, you must have all 120 Stars. This unlocks Luigi. Beat the entire game with Luigi, defeating Bowser at the end. This will unlock a new galaxy. Finish this final galaxy to collect the 121st Star.
Super Mario Galaxy Hint: Second Player
If you have a second Wii controller, you can have a friend play along with you giving you a second cursor on screen. This means that Coins, Star Bits, and all those other goodies can be collected by the second player increasing your score and ability to play through the game faster!
Spin Attack
Use a spin attack while mid-air to gain extra height. This can be a life-saver if you can't quite clear a gap, or fall off a ledge accidentally.
