So it's E3 time again folks and there have been many gems purged from the volts of developers. Bungie has released this one for all Masterchief fans and by the looks of it I would have to say it's been worth the wait.
What do we know about the plot? The Covenant is in the midst of a rupturing civil war, pitting Elites and a contingent of Grunts and Hunters against the remaining Brute lead forces. Thus Elites, whilst not truly allied with UNSC forces, will share with them a common enemy. Master Chief, as expected, is caught in the middle of the battle and fights to prevent Earth's total destruction.
Who cares about the plot, what's with the game play? The single player campaign is broken up into nine missions, covering the Chief's landfall on Earth and defense of the human survivors, his journey to the gargantuan Forerunner Ark built beneath the Earth's surface, his return to the Gravemind infested High Charity, and eventually his reprisal of the role of Reclaimer on one of the last remaining Halo superstructures.
The Arbiter, the Elite warrior voiced by Keith David, returns and looks like he plays a significant* role in the campaign's story. From the E3 video I found, he was fighting side by side with Master chief.
Now the question I know most of you are asking is "what about online co-op, Lexx?" Well as always there are no firm details but it is safe to say that there will be for two reasons; 1) The Arbiter was fighting with MC in the campaign mode. 2) Bungie would have to be absolutley insane not to include it in this day and age. (especially after the sucess of Crackdown).
Anyway that's all for now. I suggest you check out all the E3 trailers that are currently being made available on our 360s.
* It was a crappy Youtube vid that went for 3 minutes. So by significant I mean I'm guessing!
